When to Go
Most people visit Mongolia between May and October, as the winters there are extremely cold. June, July and August are warm in central and northern Mongolia, while in the Gobi temperatures can reach as high as
35 Degrees C. Protection against the sun and wind is essential.
One special time to visit Mongolia is in early July for the famous Naadam Festival.
Spread over 3 days the Festival is a celebration of Mongolian culture and especially it's 2 great sports - Wrestling, Archery and Horse-racing. The main focus is on the festivities in Ulaan Baatar, but every province in Mongolia holds it's own Naadam.
It is a fascinating chance to share in genuine Mongolian celebrations.
