GobiTours can organise more extensive trips in the Gobi desert and around Lake Khuvsgul. These are usually more demanding treks using Camels and Horses in the Gobi and Yaks and Horses in Khuvsgul, and involve camping and cooking in remote areas.

For example, it is possible to take a 14 day day trek in the Gobi with a local Herdsman providing the animals and an Interpreter to translate and explain the sights. Another trek could be a 14 day jeep expedition taking n the Gobi and the famous Temple Complex of Erdene Zuu in central Mongolia. These treks need more planning and are far more tiring, but they allow the traveller to see more of the wildlife and eat and sleep with the local people throughout.
